Hi, I’m Jill, the Physiotherapist here at the Archways Private Medical and Health Centre. I have extensive experience in the Public and Private sector, my most recent role being an Occupational Extended Scope Physiotherapist for Greater Manchester Police. I have also worked with representative and club rugby teams of various ages. I enjoy working with a variety of clients from the sportsperson to the Occupational athlete, tailoring the rehabilitation process to the individual and their role.
I graduated with a BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy degree from Manchester University in 1997. I remain passionate about physiotherapy and I strive to give every client an effective, personalised, focused rehabilitation programme that meets their needs and goals from the acute phase of a problem through to preventative rehabilitation. I am committed to my professional development and regularly attend seminars and courses to update my knowledge to enable me to be an evidence based practitioner. So whether you’re in pain or finding day-to-day movements or sports performance limited, I’m here to help you get back into action as quickly as possible!!
Outside of work I was until recently a high-level rugby player, playing in the Premiership and representing both Lancashire and the North-West in National competitions. I now enjoy going to the gym, playing Netball, camping and walking with my partner Sean and chocolate Labrador Harvey.
At your initial appointment we will take a full history of the problem prior to a thorough physical examination. We will then discuss the problem with you, explaining the condition and then plan your rehabilitation taking into consideration your individual requirements; we will also give you some initial treatment and often some home exercises. Please feel free to ask any question at any time.
